How it works

A round-up at checkout. A referral from a trusted partner. A free pickup at the door.

Here is every step of the program, who qualifies, and where the dollars go.

The round-up at checkout

When a customer books a pickup on LoadUp, they can choose to round up their total to support Freemoval. The round-up is optional and disclosed at checkout. Contributions are not tax-deductible, and 100% of every round-up funds Freemoval pickups at standard LoadUp rates.

How the money is handled

Round-up contributions are received by LoadUp Technologies, LLC and tracked separately so they can be allocated to Freemoval pickups. Direct contributions made through this site are handled the same way.

Who qualifies, and how

Freemoval works through trusted partner organizations: nonprofits, housing programs, senior services, churches, and caseworkers who already know the families they serve. A partner submits a request through the Freemoval partner portal and vouches for the need. That referral is the eligibility check, so there is no application and no income paperwork for the family.

Each household can receive one free pickup, covering junk removal or a cleanout within standard LoadUp marketplace service. Partners see a decision within a few business days and get status updates for every family they refer.

Families who aren’t connected to an organization can use the Get help page, and we will try to connect them with a partner.

The actual hauling

Every Freemoval pickup is fulfilled through the LoadUp marketplace by the same independent loaders, with the same scheduling and the same disposal facilities as any paid job. The only difference is who pays: instead of the household, it’s the Freemoval fund.

Loaders are paid the same rate they would be for any LoadUp job and disposal fees are paid to the same facilities. There is no separate “charity tier” of service. A Freemoval pickup looks identical to a paid one because, operationally, it is one.

Where Freemoval operates

Freemoval launched in metro Atlanta in 2026 and is onboarding its first partner organizations across Fulton, Cobb, Cherokee, Gwinnett, and Forsyth counties. LoadUp’s marketplace already serves cities in all 50 states, and Freemoval plans to expand nationwide as partner organizations and funding grow.

If you work at a nonprofit, housing program, or city department, in metro Atlanta or anywhere else, that conversation starts here.
