· Stoves and ovens
· Water heaters
· Washers and dryers (no refrigerant)

Roll-off boxes for big projects: For cleanouts beyond what bulky covers, call Republic Services to order a temporary trash bin or roll-off box. Useful for moving, renovation, or estate cleanouts.

California Senate Bill 1383, effective January 2022, mandates organic waste recycling statewide. Anaheim residents are required to use the three-cart system to comply.
Gray/black cart (trash): Weekly. Bagged household trash that can’t go in the other two carts. Don’t put recyclables, food waste, or yard waste here.
Blue cart (recycling): Single-stream. All recyclables go loose — no bags, ties, or bundles. Acceptable: plastic bottles and containers (#1, #2, #5), glass, paper, cardboard (flattened), aluminum and tin cans.
Green cart (organics, SB 1383): Yard trimmings (grass, leaves, branches), food scraps (fruits, vegetables, meat, dairy, bones), food-soiled paper (napkins, paper plates without coatings). California law requires food scraps to go in the green cart, NOT in the trash.
Set-out window (Anaheim Municipal Code 10.10.070): Containers at curb between 4:00 PM the day before and 7:00 AM on collection day. Bins must be removed by midnight on collection day.
Holiday schedule: If your collection day falls on or after one of six city-recognized holidays, your trash, recycling, and organics will be delayed one day for the rest of that week. Republic Services posts the holiday calendar at the start of each year.
Extra trash service: Extra weekly pickups are available for a nominal fee. Contact Republic Services Customer Service at (714) 238-2444.
SB 1383 compliance is mandatory: Improper sorting can result in contamination notices from Republic Services. The three carts are not optional.
