Blue cart (recycling): Weekly. Single-stream — all recyclables together.

Gray cart (yard waste): Weekly during yard waste season. Branches, leaves, grass clippings. Food scraps cannot go in yard waste. Yard waste carts and bundles are NOT collected during holiday weeks (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year’s) — recycle and trash carts plus paper yard bags are still picked up.
Holiday schedule: When a holiday falls during the week, collection is rescheduled. Residents whose regular curbside collection falls on a holiday are serviced on Wednesday instead. Monday customers serviced the Wednesday FOLLOWING the holiday. Thursday and Friday customers serviced the Wednesday BEFORE the holiday. Major holidays observed: New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas. The Haley Pike Waste Management Facility, Lexington Recycle Center, and Electronics Recycle Center are closed on all city holidays.
