Freemoval pickups are funded primarily by LoadUp customers who round up at checkout. If you’re not booking a paid pickup yourself but want to help, you can contribute directly. Donations are pooled with checkout round-ups to cover subsidized pickups in the cities where Freemoval operates. 100% of your contribution funds pickups at standard market rates, the same rates LoadUp charges any paying customer.

What your contribution does

Every dollar in your contribution pays for the actual cost of a removal: loader payouts and disposal fees on a Freemoval pickup. Funds are deposited into a dedicated program account, separated from LoadUp’s general operations. Pickups are dispatched to households in partner communities, typically affordable housing properties and select municipal partnerships, where free hauling prevents the friction that drives illegal dumping.

Where your contribution goes

Contributions are deployed where the need is highest. Currently active in Atlanta, with partner expansion underway in Miami, Detroit, Memphis, St. Louis, and Cleveland through 2026. As we add markets, the next available pickup queue determines where your contribution lands. You can specify a metro by emailing hello@freemoval.org after contributing.

The 100% promise

100% of contributions fund pickups at standard market rates. Every Freemoval pickup is invoiced at the same rate LoadUp charges any commercial customer for equivalent work, not at an inflated “charity rate.” Donor dollars cover the full retail cost of each pickup, including loader payment, disposal fees, and the platform coordination work that keeps the program running. What this means in practice: there’s no separate fundraising overhead pulled from donations, no executive salaries funded by donors, and no marketing budget skimmed off the top. The model is operationally simple: when funding becomes available, a real pickup gets booked at fair market value, the same way any paying customer would book one.

Verification

Freemoval’s program account is reconciled monthly by LoadUp’s finance team. Contributions and pickups are reported on the public impact dashboard, updated on the first business day of each month. Annual summaries are reviewed by an independent CPA. Reconciliation records are available on request to journalists, partner organizations, and contributors.

If you’re a LoadUp customer, the simplest way to support is to opt in to round up at checkout when booking a paid pickup, this is how the majority of program funding flows. If you operate housing or work in a city or county government, the highest-leverage way to support Freemoval is to explore a partnership for your community.
