Free trampoline removal in Las Vegas

Here is how each route works in Las Vegas, starting with the city program and ending with paid pickup.

Republic Services bulk item collection (City of Las Vegas): trampolines and playsets

Free

Take it apart, cut poles under 6 feet, and set it out on bulk day.

Who qualifies: Single-family homes with Republic Services residential collection in the City of Las Vegas. Apartments use their property's dumpster service.

How to schedule: No appointment. Bulk items are collected every other week on an A/B schedule on your regular collection day; look up your address at republicservices.com or call 702-735-5151. Freon appliances need a separate scheduled appliance pickup through Republic, which may carry a fee.

Limits: Items no longer than 6 feet, in manageable pieces, generally one major appliance per bulk day. Larger loads or same-day requests are billed as special pickups.

Set-out: At the curb by 6 a.m. on your bulk week collection day, separate from carts, not on private property. Items left out on a non-bulk week are a code issue.

How Las Vegas handles trampolines and playsets

Las Vegas runs one of the most generous bulk pickup systems of any major U.S. city: biweekly bulk pickup is BUNDLED INTO Republic Services' base residential service rate, no scheduling required, no extra fee. Just place items at the curb by 5 AM on the same day as your regular trash and recycling, every other week. The catch: mattresses must be wrapped in plastic before disposal, fabric-covered furniture must also be wrapped, and only one major appliance per service day is allowed. Republic Services of Southern Nevada operates under a franchise agreement with the City of Las Vegas, also serving Henderson, North Las Vegas, and Summerlin. Two HHW/electronics drop-off locations rotate Wed-Sat between Henderson and North Las Vegas. This page walks through every legitimate option in order from free to paid.

The Las Vegas rule for trampolines and playsets: Take it apart, cut poles under 6 feet, and set it out on bulk day.

Program basics: Items no longer than 6 feet, in manageable pieces, generally one major appliance per bulk day. Larger loads or same-day requests are billed as special pickups. At the curb by 6 a.m. on your bulk week collection day, separate from carts, not on private property. Items left out on a non-bulk week are a code issue.

What the city will not take: Refrigerators and anything containing Freon (separate paid appliance pickup), tires, electronics, hazardous waste, construction debris, and items over 6 feet.

How we checked this. The rules on this page were verified in October 2026 against: Republic Services (City of Las Vegas franchise hauler): residential bulk item collection, City of Las Vegas: Trash and Recycling. Programs change; confirm fees and limits before you go.

Why trampolines and playsets are different from ordinary bulk. Trampoline springs are under tension and are the injury risk. Use the spring puller that came with the trampoline or a pair of locking pliers, work in a cross pattern so tension releases evenly, and remove the net and pads first. The frame tubes then pull apart by hand or with a rubber mallet.

Prep checklist before pickup day in Las Vegas

  • List the item free first; takers disassemble and haul.
  • Trampoline: remove net, poles, and pads, then springs in a cross pattern with the puller, then the mat and frame tubes.
  • Playset: remove swings and slide, unbolt the frame from the top down, and cut or dig posts set in concrete.
  • Pull or flatten every nail and screw and bundle lumber under your city’s length limit.
  • Bag springs, bundle steel for scrap, roll the mat, and set out on the scheduled bulk day.

Three mistakes that get trampolines and playsets left at the curb:

  • Don't remove springs without the puller or locking pliers, and remove them in a cross pattern so tension releases evenly.
  • Don't put pressure-treated lumber in yard waste or burn it. It goes to bulk or C&D.
  • Don't set out a trampoline frame assembled. No bulk program takes a 14-foot ring; break it down.

Paid options are for large playsets with concrete footings, in-ground trampolines, and cities with tight bulk limits.

Self-haul to a transfer station

$20 to $60

Bundled lumber and a rolled mat load into a pickup or trailer. Transfer stations charge by weight; pressure-treated wood goes as C&D.

Take the steel to a scrap yard first where it is free.

Common questions about trampoline removal in Las Vegas

Does Las Vegas pick up trampolines and playsets for free?

Yes, disassembled with poles under 6 feet.

How much does paid trampoline removal cost in Las Vegas?

Through the LoadUp marketplace, a single trampoline or playset pickup in Las Vegas starts around $80 to $100 with upfront pricing, and full-truck loads run $300 to $600 depending on volume. For households who need same-day service, exceed the one-major-appliance-per-day limit, have construction debris, can’t wait two weeks for bulk pickup, or need full-service in-home removal, LoadUp offers professional removal in Las Vegas with upfront pricing. Independent loaders in the marketplace handle pickup, loading, and licensed disposal.

Can a trampoline go out with bulk trash?

Disassembled, yes in most cities: frame tubes bundled, springs bagged, mat and pads rolled or bagged. The steel can also go to a scrap yard free. Check your city’s bundle limits in the directory below.

How do I take down a trampoline?

Remove the net and poles, then the pad. Use the spring puller or locking pliers to unhook springs in a cross pattern (one, then the opposite side, then a quarter turn around). Lift off the mat. Pull the frame tubes apart at the joints with a rubber mallet, and unbolt the legs. Two people, one to two hours.

Can I put playset lumber out for pickup?

Most bulk programs accept dismantled lumber in tied bundles under a length limit (commonly 4 to 6 feet) and a weight limit, with all nails removed or flattened. Pressure-treated wood is accepted as bulk but excluded from yard waste everywhere.

How do I know if the wood is pressure-treated?

Look for a greenish or brownish tint, small incision marks in a grid pattern, or an end tag or stamp. Most residential playsets sold since the 1990s are pressure-treated pine unless marketed as cedar or redwood.

Yes. Freemoval maintains this page as a public resource alongside the full Las Vegas guide. We update it when programs change rules, fees, or contact methods. Last updated October 2026. If you find outdated information, let us know.
